Oak Hand and Base Rail
Made from solid European Oak, our universal decking rails can be used as both hand and base rails creating one of the key structural elements of any balustrade. Grooved to fit our spindles, these oak rails are ideal for adding that finishing touch to your decking area. If left untreated the natural colour of oak will gradually weather into a beautiful silver grey. Although no treatement is required, this oak product can be treated, varnished or coloured to achieve the finish your require.
If you decide to treat your hand and base rails, we work closely with the Treatex brand to be able to offer you high quality, effective treatments at affordable prices. Our Treatex External Virgin Oak Oil penetrates deep into the wood to prevent the formation of cracks and timber swelling. The Treatex External Oak Protection then works as a top coat to protect the oak from the effects of weathering whilst leaving a natural looking finish.
